We recommend attending both weeks if your schedule allows. Camp is designed as one full two-week experience, with the goal of bringing together youth from both churches. Your child will stay on the same team throughout, so attending both weeks helps them build stronger friendships and get the most out of camp.
Camp is designed for children ages 6 to 12 to help ensure a safe and structured environment. There is a gated play area available for younger siblings, but they must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times, as our team is not responsible for their care.
Camp is designed for children ages 6–12, which helps us keep everything safe, structured, and age-appropriate for everyone. Because of this, we’re not able to allow children over 12 to attend or make exceptions.
For teenagers, both Our Lady of Albanians and St. Paul Albanians offer youth group meetings and events throughout the year with opportunities for connection, faith, and fun.
Yes, dinner is provided for campers each evening.
We do our best to be mindful of common allergies, but we’re not able to guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Parents are not required to stay during camp hours. If you choose to stay, you’re welcome to watch from the designated areas around camp. We suggest that parents bring a blanket or a chair to sit on.
Camp t-shirts are provided and must be worn each day. Children will also receive a color coded wristband and bandana, which should be brought daily so they can be easily identified with their team.
Closed toe or tennis shoes are required. We also recommend applying mosquito spray before arriving, as camp takes place near wooded areas.
Children are welcome to bring a water bottle, though water stations will be available throughout camp.
Absolutely! We do our best to create a camp experience that is welcoming and accommodating for all children.
We ask that a parent or guardian remain on site in case their child needs additional support. We also encourage you to reach out to us in advance so we can better understand your child’s needs and plan accordingly.
Teams are chosen at t-shirt pickup on a first come, first served basis, which allows children to join the same team as their siblings, cousins, or friends.
Teams have a set capacity, and once selected, they are final and cannot be changed. We encourage families to coordinate in advance and arrive early.
All volunteers are required to complete the Archdiocese of Detroit’s “Protecting God’s Children” certification, ensuring they meet all safety and compliance standards.
In addition, our team gathers multiple times leading up to camp to walk through expectations, responsibilities, and daily operations so that every volunteer is fully prepared and aligned before camp begins.
Camp will still take place, but activities may be adjusted or moved as needed. Any updates will be shared with parents in advance.
For special themed days like water day and color day, specific details and what to bring will be included in your camp emails ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.
On water day, children should bring a towel and a change of clothes, as they will change before dinner.
If your child needs help changing, a parent or guardian is required to be present to assist.
A First Aid Tent is located on the field and staffed by healthcare professionals throughout camp.
If a child is injured or there is a behavioral concern, a parent or guardian will be contacted right away.
If your child has an EpiPen, we ask that it be left with the First Aid Tent so it is readily available in case of an emergency.
